Boys will be boys

Take one big backyard full of toys, playset, swings, trampoline, and one partly filled baby pool.
Add in one very cute yet mischevious two year old boy with a warning to stay away from the water.
Wait 5 minutes and what do you get?
A fully-clothed, shoe wearing boy in the middle of the pool.
"Mama, shoes wet!"
Priceless!!

(The boy is a little day care child I watch; he calls me "mama," probably since that is what he hears the other kids call me.)

Labor Day Camping

We took a mini trip up to the mountains with some neighbor friends. It was fun and Sofi did really well for her first camping trip.

Robb is sure stylin!

Kelbre and Addy

A girl and her barbies, so cute!

Sofi was such a good camper.

This captivated the boys more than fishing.

This captivated the boys more than anything.

Chilling around the fire.

This happened to be the one moment they were not in the middle of the fire.

She is here!

Sofi Marie Johnson
Born July 13, 9:58 am
6 lbs 7 oz
19.5 inches long

She is a spitting image of Robby.

I finally gave birth to a child who looked like one of the other ones.

Aaron hasn't wanted to leave her side since she got here.

Kelbre has a little bit of jelousy, but she luckily she is in love with Sofi

Cowboy Fever

Our rodeo clowns. Notice I don't have a picture of Aaron. It turns out that the museum had a computer game where you can pretend to be the cowboy or the bull. He spent the entire time as the bull.

Not so sure they pulled off the look

Robby being sent to the gallows.

The boys being sent to jail.

This is the cast of the gunslinger show we went to see. Another free event in Cheyenne! Kelbre was a little intimidated but they all enjoyed seeing the "gunfight."

Cheyenne Trip

For our family trip this year, we decided to take a mini vacation up to Cheyenne. It was about 3 weeks before I was due with Sofi and we didn't want to go far. It is actually a pretty fun place to go, there are lots of things to do that are free. We stayed in a cabin at this KOA which had mini-golf and a pool. The kids had a good time.

The miniature golf course at our campground was actually very dificult mainly because it was so old. Robby decided to handle it by playing pool instead.
At least it was free!

Fire at our cabin. Not sure what Robby was doing.

Cheyenne has 20 of these boots (all painted different) that are hidden all over the city.
We did a scavenger hunt to find all of them. This ended up being the most exciting part of the trip for the kids.

Kelbre at the pool in our campsite.
She swam across the pool for the first time without a vest. I said "Oh my goodness, you just swam! I'm so proud of you, but you scared me to death."
Her response: "I scared myself!"

Once again, not sure what Robby is doing.
I think he is trying to pose.

One last picture with only 3 children.

Spring Break 2010

Robby gets chosen for everything!

Braving Black Bart's cave

Casa Bonita Sopapillas. Yum! The only edible part of the experience.

Who can follow the music?

Boys playing with hands-on games

Rachel, Sariah and Kelbre at Aquarium

Kids at Dinosaur Museum
We had fun over Spring Break thanks to Grandma Centra. Jenn and I took the kids down to Denver and stayed over night in a hotel so the kids could play a bit. We went to the Denver Museum of Nature and Science, the Aquarium, and Casa Bonita. The kids sure had fun!

IT'S A GIRL!

So I haven't put any pictures on here in a while because I am having camera issues. But I thought I would right some thoughts anyway.

We had our ultrasound and they confirmed what we already knew: It's a girl! Sofi looks great and is nice and healthy. She currently ways 10 oz. The kids reactions to the ultrasound?
Robby: It must suck in there! There isn't anything to do!
Aaron: Can you eat something so we can watch her eat too?
Kelbre: She's waving at me!

The boys don't say much about the baby coming, but Kelbre is hanging on my belly every day. She is so excited to be a big sister and already has a lot of plans for her.

In other "fun" news:
Robby is getting ready to turn 12, which means the priesthood is coming! We asked him to tell us what he knows about the priesthood and he really couldn't tell us too much. But then he said, "I know, the Melchezidek Priesthood is where you have the right to remain silent!"

Alive Again

(If you look closely, she is waving at you)
I know by blog has not been updated in a while, and this little creature above is the reason why. I am amazed at how something so small can suck the life out of you! I am finally feeling alive once again now that I am in my second trimester.
For all those of you who are wondering, I belive this is a girl. For whatever reason, the Lord has always made known unto me many things about my babies, right from the start. I have been right with all the other kids, and I am not going to doubt the spirit now! I feel this is our daughter Sofi Marie, due in the beginning of July.
So far this pregnancy is turning out to be alot like Robby and Aaron's. I have already had 2 ultrasounds, the first because they thought I was having twins. The second because they couldn't hear a heartbeat (which is normal for me, which I tried to explain to them). Turns out my Uterus is divided and it causes lots of problems. Of course.
She is appears healthy and strong despite the worry.

Raingutter Regatta

Aaron only won a single race, but he took up second in show. Way to go Aaron! He made his boat to look like a warship and glued small airplanes on top.
